Bad spelling on Kar's name.. Can you give us a snap shot on their style of play ...If they play each other in 08 that should be exciting....I am looking forward to that match up.. By the way i was at the Chess Mall , that is what i call it , anyway it is a shopping mall that has a chess board on the floor and big wooden pieces and a clock , 30 min each and winner keeps playing..Well i won the first game i played and then the next guy was a guy i lost too many months ago..He did not remember playing me but i remembered him because i lost to him. I was white and i played well , BUT not well enough and lost....#$%^&* ...So i watched him play another guy i have lost to in the past and the guy who beat me beat him too...That was a good game too.....Then i took off..... He won both games with black....

Too early to predict.Kramnik prepares well for Matches. He beat a red hot Topalov. He has really solid opening systems and when he is healthy is really tough to beat. I was impressed a few years ago in a Must win situation vs Leko he won.You always have to respect anyone who defeated Kasparov in match play. Anand's form has been excellent all year as his rating (and Title) indicates.Going undefeated in such a tough field with so much at stake is impressive. It appears his wife takes care of a lot of things leaving Anand's main job to play chess.Anand has a +18-14=88 score according to Chessbase Games (of course there are various time controls these games have taken place) Perhaps someone may have statistics of games played at regular (Classical) time controls between the two.Really a tough one to predict but I will go out on a limb and pick Anand-EJAY

the mall is called CrossRoads mall , maybe they have a website that mite show the chess board ?? I wish the chess set was at South Center mall because i drive right by that place too and from work every day so that would be very easy for me to stop at more often.. From my job to the chess mall , id say I2 miles ? but i get there pretty fast because half of that is freeway and then when i get off i only have to hit 4 lights the rest of the way..two of the lights are free right hand turns so i get their pretty fast.... My house to my job to the chess mall and back home is like a large triangle...

The Mall is in Bellevue just across Lake Washington from Seattle ..Bill Gates ( Microsoft ) lives on Mercer Island that is in the lake and the freeway crosses the island.. I work in Seattle and i got off early so i drove over to that Mall...I live 2 cities south of that place so when i go there i take the back way home..From there to my place maybe 28 miles? Same from my house to my job too... If i lived closer id be there more , usually i like to go there when i get off work and do not have to work the next day that way i mite get a game in...30 min each on the time clocks and most games usually last at least 45 min ..When i lost i had 8 min left on my clock and he had about I3 min left....+ i like to watch a game or two , too. The eastern Europeans are pretty good .. I played a chess teacher too at least that is what he said he was , he took me to school..ha ha..He said his elo was around I850. I let him get his knight in on me , he said you can not allow a horse in your house.... Another guy i played , the way he moved his pawns was like a bowa constrictor and he just bottled me up..I just did not play him the right way ...I let him squeeze me to death....I seen him play a hand full of games and he is very methodical on moving his pawns..I have never seen him lose...I have only seen him play around 6 or 7 games...The last hand full of times i have been there he has not been there. Sometimes i feel like taking my Ivan computer and setting it for a 30 min game the kind they are used too and see how they do against Ivan. Ivan is around I700 ELO but it mite be a little less at 30 min ....Id like to see how Ivan would handle the Bowa Constrictor and the teacher.

Thank you...... Yes i did not think about the prep work , i am sure they will look at some of their wins and loses vs each other so they do not make the same mistake twice... Just like that guy i played at the Mall , the one time i played and lost i played a normal game and i felt like he beat me pretty easy .. Then yesterday i decided to play very conservatively and i played a good game for me , but it was not good enough to win.. I want another shot at him in the future.. I am glad i do not live close by that Mall because id be their all the time..ha ha.. There are some good chess players that hang out their...Old men and i look at them and their best working days are way behind them and wonder how they are living here ? Off our social security or welfare ?
