According to Style in 'The Game' the term 'pivot' was first given by
Mystery, but you'll come across a lot of arguments over who came up
with the terminology. but who invented it doesn't matter, the
principle has existed for as long as human mating rituals have, so
fuck that.
The principle is: being around/socialising with another woman makes
you more attractive to other women, by:
1) building confidence in you - if you are talking to another woman,
the likelihood is you're not a weirdo. it's like a safety net, some
other woman has already vetted you, you must be alright.
2) it makes you more attractive - you have the ability to have a
female friend, this female friend is hot, therefore she must think you
are hot, therefore you are hot.
3) it makes your target feel competitive - women have an incredible
competitive streak. if you are hot, and a good potential mate, and if
they see someone else is interested in you, they will want to get you.
if you 'belong' to someone else, they will work to steal you. why look
for a good man when someone else has already done it for her? they
just need to 'win' you.
you may even find many women who will also love to catch a guy even
though he's got a gf. the knowledge of the man they're with is in
their bed rather than in their gf's/wife's bed is a big turn on to
them - i know a couple of guys who wear wedding rings out even though
their not ried, exactly for this reason.
to make a pivot work for you, you don't even have to know your pivot
any female will do. usually though you can just go out with some
female friends, and the simple act of being with them and having a
good time will make you attractive to other women for exactly the
reasons above.
however, the trick is to simply make sure your target sees you talking
to and having fun with other women. so, for example, chat to a random
woman/women in close proximity to your target, make sure she notices
and then hit on her.
you look cool, you look alpha, you look safe, and you look like a
target for her, a prize to win for the night.

Pivot is a concept in seduction - using hot girls as social proof to get
more girls. Nobody created it; It is just a name for psychological principle
(nothing succeeds like success).
