WHAT WILL HAPPEN? >For the record, Larry, my little vignette was designed priily to dramatize the rationalization and weaseling of those who seek to ignore, discredit or discount Mottershead's information BEFORE it has been evaluated by one or more independent credentialed experts. Our Experts should then forward their findings to those qualified to weigh the electronic evidence against other pertinent factors, i.e., to those qualified to judge. Acts II and III have yet to be written. Appropriate punishment if judged culpable? Not addressed. Maybe exposure is enough. Maybe a remonstration to go and sin no more. Maybe more. Not my department. > -- Mike Murray Dear Mike, Right, I don't think for a moment that you are part of a lynch mob. As you know, I favor full debate on the USCF Forum on this and all other issues -- full debate and, yes, nasty, vituperative, vicious debate as well. Unlike some here, I just happen to think that Paul Truong may have a pretty good defense if all aspects of the case, including the actual content of the messages and their style, are taken into account. My prediction is that he will survive this storm because there will be no transparency in the evaluation process. The Board majority will either set about to whitewash PT and do it clumsily; or the Board majority will decide to knife him in the political back and do it clumsily. The clumsiness in either eventuality will be what saves Paul Truong. Now here's another prediction that I admit is an unlikely outcome, but somehow one thinks the potential is there for the following bit of humor: the whole Truong affair will be handled so dishonestly by the Executive Board that other Board members may end up being forced to resign, whereas PT and Susan Polgar will survive and thrive. By the way, don't underestimate the danger posed by discovery in the Sloan lawsuit. The laddies won't be able to keep their stories straight, and Sam could prove to be quite a cat among the canaries when they start singing. And once again, the danger is not necessarily the greatest for PT and Susan Polgar, though that is the common assumption. There were elements in Randy Bauer's attempt at spin that have been noticed as suggestively untrue. Isn't this forum wonderful? Goshdarnit, I love it! If it were not for r.c.p.g, then I think that the world would be a much more dangerous place. People are people, these "tricks" have been occuring on and off for over 100 years in Chess poltiics. In America, it is time to find the gulity, and there is a gulity man or WOMAN. At this point, Troung is really our O.J. Simpson. We have a histroy of allowing the political elite to scape justice. Something tells me that the US Attorney will not be afraid of Executive Board member Troung and the impact that a prosecution would have on their chess rating. Two events can change our world. 1. A lawsuit in Chicago. IL 2. A Federal investigation cus Roberts

That information is as follows: BEGIN REPORT "If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man, you win some, lose some, all the same to me. The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say, I don't share your greed, the only card I need is the Ace of spades. Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil, going with the flow, it's all the same to me, seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you, double up or quit, double stake or split, the Ace of spades. You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools, but that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live for ever. And don't forget the joker! Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me, read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again, I see it in your eyes, take one look and die, the only thing you see, you know it's gonna be, the Ace of spades!" END REPORT It's a very interesting document!
