Subject: Thank you Bill Brock for your One Penny book!!!
Bill Brock sold me a book on eBay for one cent. Of course, he probably
did not realize that he was selling it to me because the real identity
of the buyer is not generally revealed until the auction is over.
Also, I did not immediately realize that he was the seller when I bid
on that and other chess books.

The book Bill Brock boldly sold me was "The 64-Square Looking Glass:
Great Games of Chess in World Literature" by the late Burt Hochberg.
Item number 220253883953

So I bought Burt's book by Bill Brock.
http://myworld.ebay.com/billbrock
http://myworld.ebay.com/xxcomicsxx

Naturally, I am sure that Bill Brock did not intend to sell Burt's
book for only one penny. He probably intended one cent to be just a
low starting bid. When only I bid for it, I became the buyer.

Naturally, I feared that Bill Brock would not send Burt's book when he
realized that I was the buyer. However, not only did it arrive but it
came by UPS, an expedited delivery. Tracking number was
1Z GT7 302 03 9071 205 2

http://www.amazon.com/dp/081291929

Those of you who do not play chess will not realize what is so
surprising about all this. It is that I have a lawsuit pending in
federal court against Bill Brock:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/08/nyregion/08chess.html
http://gambit.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/23/new-lawsuit-against-chess-federation/
http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.chess.politics/msg/058eee283f11a6b3

As a result of filing this lawsuit, I have been banned from posting to
Wikipedia. Apparently Wikipedia has an unwritten rule that anybody on
Wikipedia who sues anybody else who also happens to be on Wikipedia
gets banned.

Now, it seems that I have been kicked off of eBay too. I still have
not heard anything back from eBay as to the reason.

As a result of being suspended from eBay, I cannot give Bill Brock the
positive feedback he is entitled to receive for completing this
transaction.

Here is my latest letter to eBay:

Your responses have failed to answer one simple question: What can I
do to get the suspension listed? It does your company no good to
permanently suspend people.

You should know that Bill Brock is bragging on the eBay Google group
that he got me suspended. Take a look at:

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.marketing.online.ebay/browse_thread/thread/518019a9ba408017/d20819be8f212480?lnk=st&q=ebay#d20819be8f212480

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.marketing.online.ebay/msg/d20819be8f212480?dmode=source

This is the same person that I am suing in federal court for
impersonating me. There are right now three federal cases going on
about this. See:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/08/nyregion/08chess.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

I imagine that you are at the bottom of the Totem Pole over there at
eBay. I mean no disrespect but I think you should show this to your
top management because you are making yourself a party to a bunch of
existing lawsuits that you probably do not want to be involved in.

The first thing that is going to happen after the currently pending
motions before Judge Chin are resolved is that you are going to be hit
with a Subpoena. The latest case was filed in San Francisco Superior
Court last week and you are likely to be named as one of the "John
Doe" Defendants.

http://www.anusha.com/uscf-does.pdf

I just want to make sure that you know exactly what you are doing. We
know that you are in contact with Bill Brock about this, so that makes
you a party to these cases.

We are going in circles.

I cannot reinstate the samsloan account because I do not have
access to
that
account.

If I could, I would. Why waste time?

If you will give me access to that account I will pay whatever is
due
especially since you told me that it is only $76.00

Why do you refuse to give me access to that account when you
apparently
are
claiming that that is my account?

Why is this so difficult to understand?

I did not "attempt" to post 100 chess biographies on Wikipedia. I did
post 100 chess biographies on Wikipedia. All but one of them is still
there.

I merely waited until Ralf Callenberg, Paul Rubin and Louis Blair were
not looking and reposted them.

I added a new biography yesterday and no I am not going to tell you
where it is for fear that they will vandalize it again.

OK. Now we have the answer. It was Bill Brock's complaint that got me

For those Ebayers who are not familiar with Bill Brock, starting in
2004 he has posted thousands of times that I am a child molester,
which is obviously not true because if it was true I would be in jail
now.

I have never been investigated, charged, arrested, tried, found guilty
or anything else pertaining to child molestation or any thing similar.

On October 2, 2007 I finally filed suit in federal court against Bill
Brock for falsely calling me a child molester thousands of times.

It was Bill Brock who got me blocked from Wikipedia and It is now Bill
Brock who got me suspended from eBay.

Naturally, I will add this to the damages clause of my federal suit
against Bill Brock, but I still have to make a living in the mean time
which includes selling my books on eBay.

Bill Brock is obviously a very sick may who admits that he has sexual
fantasies about child molestation.

No. I do not deny writing this. However, that is not an
"Announcement". That is just a normal posting to
rec.games.chess.politics in response to your repeated vandalism of
biographies of chess personalities that I had posted to Wikipedia.

Now, do you deny posting the so-called "Sam Sloan Announcement" to the
User Talk pages of the aforementioned 19 Wikipedia Administrators?

You have been dancing around and evading that question for the past
two years.

Why do you refuse to own up to your acts?

No. Frank Niro sent the book by regular US Mail.

I saved the envelope so I have his return address, but it would be
unethical for me to give it to you (even though I am suing both you
and Frank Niro in federal court (strange bedfellows)).

The objection to your postings is that you posted a bogus "Sam Sloan
Announcement" to the User Talk pages of 19 Wikipedia Administrators,
when I had made no such announcement.

Here is one example of the 19 postings by you
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Howcheng/Archive6#Sam_Sloan_announcement

Each of these 19 administrators that you selected had a history of
deleting or modifying my postings. For example, the one above,
User:Howcheng, whose name is Howard Cheng, had deleted my biography of
Tom Dorsch, USCF Treasurer.

There had been no "Sam Sloan Announcement". I had merely posted to
rec.games.chess.politics that I would post no more biographies of
chess personalities until such time as Louis Blair was not active, in
view of your long history of attacking me and of vandalizing my
biographies.

Among the 19 Wikipedia administrators to whose talk pages you posted
this bogus "Sam Sloan Announcement", 18 did nothing, but the remaining
one, User:JzG, whose real name is Guy Chapman, in the space of a half
hour, deleted or modified my biographies of 50 chess personalities,
thus erasing months of work. This was exactly the result that you
intended would happen when you posted the bogus "Sam Sloan
Announcement".

Among those 50 were the biographies of Ali Nihat Yazici, Julio Cesar
Ingolotti, Panupand Vijjuprabha, and Geoffrey Borg. These were the
candidates nominated by the USCF for election to the positions of FIDE
Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer on the Reform slate of Bessel
Kok. User:JzG proceeded to "salt the earth" of the biographies of Ali
Nihat Yazici, Julio Cesar Ingolotti, Panupand Vijjuprabha, and
Geoffrey Borg. He also tried to salt the earth of the biography of
Bessel Kok as well, but that was reversed by other Wikipedia
administrators because Bessel Kok is very well known.

After great effort over a period of the next two years, I have been
able to get the earth "unsalted" with respect to Ali Nihat Yazici, who
is President of the Turkish Chess Federation and organizer of the
recent World Youth Championships where the USCF sent a large
delegation. His reinstated biography is here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Nihat_Yazici

However, the other three, Julio Cesar Ingolotti, Panupand Vijjuprabha,
and Geoffrey Borg, still have the earth salted. Meanwhile
International Master Geoffrey Borg has emerged as an even more
important chess personality and FIDE Vice-President.

Now, because of the malicious acts of Louis Blair in vandalizing my
Wikipedia biographies, Bill Goichberg appointed Louis Blair to the
"Forum Oversight Committee" which had the power to delete my postings
to the USCF Issues Forum. Goichberg did this at the time I was an
elected member of the USCF Executive Board and running for re-
election. Goichberg mailed 17,000 postcards to USCF members attacking
me and he also appointed Louis Blair, giving Blair the power to delete
my Forum postings, as a reward for the act of Louis Blair in posting
these 19 fake "Sam Sloan Announcement" postings which resulted in
Julio Cesar Ingolotti, Panupand Vijjuprabha, and Geoffrey Borg having
the earth salted.

This is part of my lawsuit against Goichberg and Truong as announced
in the New York Times. I did not name Louis Blair as a defendant
although I considered it.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/08/nyregion/08chess.html

Does that answer your question?

I have finally figured this out. Sam Sloan is an Al Qaeda operative
(real name: Sami Sabu al-Oan) and he is using Usenet to send out
coded messages to sleeper agents in the US. These are not real names.
No one is actually named "Bessel Kok" or "Ali Nihat Yazici". These
are references to passages in the book _Zen And The Art of the Queen's
Pawn Opening_ that tell the sleeper agents where and when to plant
explosive devices.

"Julio Cesar Ingolotti", when run through a modified Captain Midnight
decoder ring, means "Read Chapter 3, third paragraph, transpose every
third vowel and substitute "K" for "J", "P" for "C", and "I" for
Tuesday. That gives the instruction to "Put a bomb in the Super
K-Mart in Parma, Ohio. The bomb is rigged to go off when the Blue
Light Special is activated."

There is no other explanation possible. You are urged to forward all
future posts by "Sam Sloan" to the Department of Homeland Security.

Come on Sam? Why must you always tear people down. I resigned due to
poor health... I never disappeared. My resignation letter was in the
hands of the board members at Los Angeles and is published in my blog.
My whereabouts have been know continuously ever since by USCF board
members and staff. I never missed an issue of Chess Life in the past
five years because they were all mailed to my address by USCF staff. I
have talked to Judy and Tracy in the office on numerous occasions and
with more than half of the USCF Board members, in person or by e-mail,
as well as with each of the USCF Executive Directors who served
between me and Bill Hall.

I didn't respond to your law suit because it was nonsense. Besides
that, it was never properly served. You will see a response in my
upcoming book, however.

By the way, the Harold Dondis book was edited by me. As Editor, the
printer gave me a few extra courtesy copies from the overrun free of
charge. Rather than have them stay on a shelf and gather dust I
decided to sell them on eBay and send 100% of the proceeds to the U.S.
Chess Trust c/o Barbara DeMaro.

You knew that already but, of course, neglected to mention it. You
also knew that the eBay account is my wife's (check your return
address label) and not mine. I am spending more or less full time on
my book these days.

Best wishes to all,

Anybody who reads all these postings by Louis Blair will readily

This is why it is especially objectionable that Bill Goichberg,
knowing this, appointed Louis Blair to the Forum Oversight Committee.

By his 19 postings, Louis Blair managed to get about 50 biographies of
chess players deleted from Wikipedia. This was clearly a malicious act
of vandalism on his part. This also tells us a lot about Bill
Goichberg, who rewarded Louis Blair for his acts of vandalism.

Here is an example of one of the 19 Louis Blair postings. It can still
be found at

Why the h311 is this in alt.marketing.online.ebay?

Why does everyone need to know about your disagreements with people?

Why must you crosspost to so many groups?

Why can't you set followups?

It is rude to crosspost to many newsgroups without setting followups.
Please stop being rude.

And IN NO WAY is getting non-noteworthy articles deleted from Wikipedia
vandalism of any sort. If you believe those people are so important,
create a blog and put them on it.

You have a need to express yourself. Create a blog for that too.

Here are 10 of the 19 letters Louis Blair wrote to Wikipedia
administrators on July 19, 2006:

These were entitled as "Sam Sloan announcement" by Louis Blair:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:JzG#Sam_Sloan_announcement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Howcheng#Sam_Sloan_announcement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jdforrester#Sam_Sloan_announcement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Billbrock#Sam_Sloan_announcement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Phr#Sam_Sloan_announcement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Rook_wave

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Sjakkalle#Sam_Sloan_announcement

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Dmcdevit#Sam_Sloan_announcement

Only one of the above administrators acted in his request. That was
User
LzG who deleted or modified about 50 of my chess biographies:.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:JzG

Louis Blair fails to recognize that by these attacks, he did not hurt
me. Rather he hurt the people whose biographies he had deleted.

Very few people notice that "Panupand" is an anagram for "Panda Pun"
and that "Vijjuprabha" is an anagram for "Hajj Via Burp". Amazing,
innit, that such things don't catch our immediate attention?

Sam Sloan, though, can be anagrammed to "Anal Moss". Most readers
here will have caught this, of course.

This is getting more fascinating by the day. It tempts me to set
aside my copy of _ Nitrogen and phosphorus losses in surface runoff
and drainage water after application of slurry and mineral fertilizer
to perennial grass ley_ by E. Turtola and E. Kemppainen, although it
is indeed an exciting read, and follow Mr Sloan's saga.

There are those in this newsgroup who might want Mr Sloan to
discontinue his posts on this subject. I say "No! Wait till we get to
the bits about the honey trap episode in the Hotel Ork in Reykjavik!"
where the International Federation of Really Dull People and Chess
Players sent in a doe-eyed seductress with huge tits to microfilm the
contents of Mr Sloan's briefcase. We'll all have a jolly laugh when
Mr Sloan reveals that the Minox film contained only images of a
pimento cheese on whole wheat sandwich and some pages from "The Horsey
Moves Two Squares Straight and One to the Side" by M. Pranger-Smyth
for _Highlights_ magazine.

Yes. But you wrote to 19 Wikipedia administrators about me, Sam Sloan,
and pointed to my biographies of those four chess personalities who
had been nominated by the USCF as candidates for election to the top
positions in FIDE, the World Chess Federation.

Because of your acts, the earth was "salted" with respect to those
four persons and no biography of them can ever be published by anybody
on Wikipedia.

You are just playing games with words to avoid taking responsibility
for you acts. You are acting like a little kid who lies to his teacher
about the reasons he did not do his homework.

It doesn't sound right Sam. If you're genuinely conducting business via
eBay there must be some clause which allows for the relaxation of your
suspension. Are you suspended for 999 yrs. or something?..

Since you do not play chess you do not understand the irony of this
situation.

Frank Niro was the Executive Director of the United States Chess
Federation drawing a six figure salary. On or about August 6, 2003
Frank Niro abruptly disappeared. Coincidentally at the same time,
about $600,000 in USCF funds disappeared. We are not saying that he
stole the money, but he was seen playing in very high stakes poker
games in Foxwoods Casino where he could have lost a substantial part
of that $600,000.

We do know that on August 20, 2003 he got Polgar and Truong to steal
the USCFs laptop computer off his former desk in the USCF offices in
New Windson NY. That laptop would have provided us with information
about what happened to the missing $600,000.

Five years pass. No word from Frank Niro. I sue him in federal court
but cannot serve the summons because his whereabouts are unknown.

Suddenly, I win a chess book in an eBay auction and who should turn
out to be the seller but Frank Niro!!!! Having gone through the
$600,000, he is now down to selling his old chess books to keep going.

He sells copied books on Amazon. He doesn't own the copyright
to the majority of these.

Write to Amazon and get all your friends to do the same.
He 'publishes' using the name ISHI Press.

Also write to the IRS reminding them to check on (F)ishi press.

And write to the NYC Department of Social Services to get
them to check out Sloan for welfare fraud.

Sorry, but it is you who fail to understand how Wikipedia works. Any
one Wikipedia administrator can block or ban anybody or can salt the
earth. Once blocked, banned or salted it is almost impossible to get
reinstated, because any administrator knows that if he unblocks
somebody he will get into a major lengthy fight with the person who
placed the block.

There is no concensus in Wikipedia. It is just a dog fight. Louis
Blair wrote to 19 Wikipedia administrators. He eventually found one of
them that did what he wanted.

The Guy who actually placed the block is almost without doubt the most
objectionable person in Wikipedia. He constantly complains that people
are trying to kill him. There are those who wonder why somebody does
not finish the job. He gets in such tremendous fights all the time
that almost every month his user page gets filled up and has to be
sent to archives. By the way, I do not know any of those people. I do
not know Guy Chapman or the other 19 Wikipedia administrators that
Louis Blair wrote and I do not know the four chess personalities that
had the earth salted. I wrote and posted their biographies because
they were our official candidates for FIDE election.

The Guy that Louis Blair wrote to who carried our the task currently
writes the following on his Wikipedia user talk page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:JzG

"I am under considerable personal stress at the moment; my father died
and I have a lot of other stuff going on in RL including a new job as
senior engineer for enterprise storage and virtual infrastructure in a
Fortune 500 company. Great job, lots of shiny expensive toys, big
responsibility. But Wikipedia is still one of my top hobbies, and I
come here to do what I can. I respond much better to polite requests
than to demands. People who taunt me with "I dare you to block me" may
have cause to regret it,"

As you can see, he wants us to feel sorry for him. He writes, "I come
here to do what I can." Those of us who are familiar with this Guy
wish that he would just go away and never come back. Actually, he did
leave a few months ago, saying that his life had been threatened. He
also deleted his user page. But, alas, he came back. Question: If
somebody really does finally kill this Guy, will that be the first
murder in history caused by an Internet posting?

Sam, you really never grasped how Wikipedia works. It operates by
consensus. Anybody can post something, and anybody else can edit or
delete it. If you want something included, you have to _persuade_
people that you're right. Unlike Usenet, shouting, filibustering, and
holding your breath until you turn blue just won't work. You have to
persuade. And you're not very good at that, since you're idea of
reasoned argument is "I know more than you do so you should believe
me." You generally don't, but that's not the point. The fact that you
come across as a loud-mouthed jerk and an opinionated crank is. If
you're looking for enemies -- look in the mirror.

I have asked you to do one simple thing: Write a letter to those same
19 Wikipedia administrators and ask them to remove the ban on
publishing biographies of those four chess personalities.

Why cannot you do that simple thing?

I have not seen you deny that you did write to those 19 in the first
place.

The four that you got banned happened to be the US's official
candidates for election to the top FIDE Positions in the 2006
elections in Italy. Because of your acts, it may have contributed to
the election defeats of our four candidates. That is why it is
especially objectionable that Goichberg rewarded you for your attacks
on me by appointing you to the Forum Oversight Committee.

Look, if he won't do it, pour salt on his tail. It works with
magpies. When you catch him, and four-and-nineteen others, bake him
in a pie. Then you set the pie before the king. Then you castle.

Snort! I am SO glad I didn't just tell my newsreader to "catch-up" with
my unread AMOE postings.

The one who I believe actually salted the Earth with those biographies
was Guy Chapman, who calls himself "Just Another Guy".

Louis Blair could write him and ask him to unsalt the earth but I do
not see him doing so.

You are playing with words.

You wrote emails to 19 Wikipedia administrators with a known history
of deleting my postings and, pointing to my biographies of the above
four persons, wrote, in effect, "Look at what Sam Sloan did this
time!"

You knew that the result of your letters would be that the biographies
of those four persons would be deleted. Ypu probably did not realize
that because of your letters the Earth would be "salted", so that no
biographies of those four persons can never be published again.

I have asked you many times to write again to those Wikipedia
administrators and get those biographies reinstated, but you have
refused to do so.

Damn! I had no idea that chess players live such exciting lives.
It's like reading a Dan Brown novel.

"The 64-square Looking Glass" is for the most part a literary book,
not an instructional book. Reading it would have had little effect on
Brock's (or anyone's) playing strength.

I received the book Frank Niro sold me in the mail today.

Thank you Frank Niro.

The book is "100 Chess Columns of Harold B. Dondis" (2002)

A good book. I hope to read it some time.

Unlike Bill Brock who only charged me one red cent for his book, I
paid $9.99 for the Frank Niro book.

Now, if I can only get the other defendants to my lawsuit to sell me

J=FCrgen R. is right for a change. Ali Nihat Yacizi really is the most

The five people that Louis Blair got deleted from Wikipedia and salted
the earth were:

Ali Nihat Yazici
Julio Cesar Ingolotti
Panupand Vijjuprabha
Geoffrey Borg

Louis Blair accomplished this by writing to 19 Wikipedia
administrators asking that all my chess biographies be deleted.

The administrators not only deleted them, but "salted the earth".

After great effort, I was able to get the biography of Ali Nihat
Yazici restored.

The rest still have the earth salted.

Goichberg rewarded Louis Blair for doing this by appointing Louis
Blair to the Forum Oversight Committee, over my strenuous objections.

Apparently, Mr. Sloan must think nobody
reads the other postings here, such as the
one in which Mr. Sloan was shown to be
clueless as to the rantings of Bobby Fischer
on 9/11/2001. Mr. Blair climbed into his
time machine, went back and fetched actual
quotes of BF from that day, which
unsurprisingly, refuted some silly claims by
Mr. Sloan.

In sum, it seems more likely that Mr. Blair's
"attacks" are not directed at Mr. Sloan
himself so much as they are directed at his
multitudinous errors. This reminds me of the
complaints regarding pedant Edward Winter,
who felt compelled to correct a few of the
errors of Larry Evans-- a man who cannot
stomach constructive criticism due to the
combination of a bloated ego and a very thin
skin. Pedantry can be very annoying, it is
true; but unless you have an unlimited
supply of bullets, killing the messengers --
those who point out the obvious -- is
doomed to fail. And suppose for a moment
that you succeeded in killing /all/ of these
annoying messengers-- how would you
dispose of all the bodies? It's a logistics
nightmare... .

Not true. If you look at my eBay profile you will see that I have been
a member since 2002 and have a 100% positive feedback rating.
http://myworld.ebay.com/xxcomicsxx

It is completely crazy that eBay would suspend me without telling me
the reason.

On Wikipedia, the only significant complaints made against me came
from Louis Blair, an Internet gadfly who frequently attacks me here.
Louis Blair, while attacking me, also got four of the most important
chess personalities in the world "salted the earth", which means that
their biographies can never be posted on Wikipedia. One of these is
Geoffrey Borg, an International Master and FIDE Vice-President. Try
creating a Wikipedia biography for Geoffrey Borg and see what happens.
He can blame Louis Blair for this.

By the way, Louis Blair was rewarded for his attacks on me by being
made a member of the "Forum Oversight Committee" which regulates
postings to the USCF Issues Forum.

You have broken their rules and so they have zapped you. Google a bit
and you will find thousands complaining that the same thing has
happened to them.

You can also find 'services' instructing these poor slobs how to
get back on ebay. Essentially they are told to create a new identity.
This is not an option for you because the list of pirated books you
are trying to sell will be recognized immediately.

You can also apply to ebay for reinstatement, provided that you can
figure out how to get the application form, but then you have to sign
a statement promising that you are the rightful owner of the goods
you are selling, i.e you would need to sign a false statement...

The stuff you wrote on Wikipedia was mostly hearsay and tendentious
drivel. If Wikipedia is to have any credibility at all, it is
obvious that inveterate liars like you must not be allowed to write
there.

LOL. Geoffrey Borg is one of the four most important chess personalities?
The other three are all named Sam Sloan, I suppose.

Always, /always/ set followups to a *single* newsgroup when you
crosspost. I seriously doubt the people in the other newsgroups want to
hear your whining in the first place.

Evidently you were an abusive user of both ebay and wikipedia, and
you've been spanked by both ebay and wikipedia. Good. Now stop whining
and get over it.

If you can't keep yourself from whining, do it in alt.whine.

This is far, far more important to you than it is to anyone else.
That probably includes Bill Brock.

How would studying a book of /great games/
have helped Mr. Brock when facing you?

I wonder if Mr. Brock might not have done
better to just study tactics-- mainly in crazy
positions where the opponent does not
understand /real chess/.

Sorry, the book by Burt Bill Brock sold me is listed on Amazon at
http://www.amazon.com/dp/0812919297/

It is a big book and arrived here in perfect, near mint condition.

I could make a wisecrack here about how Bill Brock should have studied
this book (which he obviously did not do or it would be ragged now)
and then he might not have lost the grudge match to me.
