Hi Phil,

The score can be downloaded here:
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/expeditions/expedition17/chess_chamitoff.html

I have made a snapshot of this to save people having to download a PDF
file:

Maybe someone else could see if they agree with my decoding of the
game score?

I'd be surprised if there really was an illegal move made, I think it
more likely that either I've made a mistake or the score is missing a
move on either side.

Jon

Thanks again Jon, for the column I converted a .pdf to plaintext - and also
suggested there is something amiss. I think I'll play the game through and
see what's amiss - them use my own diagrams from an EPD2 resource. Phil

I managed to find the game score. It is in both descriptive and
algebraic, but both contain errors. I think I managed to reconstruct
the game and I've posted the moves here:

Thanks, Jon. Do you think that the score is correct, and therefore the
illegal move stands?

I thought that the space station had internet access. Surely there are
better places/people to play than Mission Control.

There is a lag problem, but still....

I have seen astronauts playing on playchess.com in the past. I do not
think they would find much interest in Getclub....

Ask that astranaut to play at GetClub Chess.

May be there is internet access in the Space Station?

Greg Chamitoff can then play Chess at GetClub and that will be the
first program to have played at Space Station.

Ask him to play Chess at GetClub.com

A game score might indicate you've done more than lift this from the
newswires. Oh, you don't want to do the work? Not surprising.

Stephen, what cheer?

I did 'nothing more than' ... you! Except to report the fact.

Get it? Please tell me, because I seem to have upset you already, and you
know how you are! Is this your way of asking for a game-score? Does this
technique work where you are? (Amazing!) Did you try to get it yourself?
Easy, isn't it? :))

But I ain't your boy, nor nobody's. And if someone wants something they can
say please and thank you like human beings, otherwise they can go pound
sand. Get it, Saxon?
