I was talking about new Games and Help Bot suggested me that why not have a board 100x100 size. That is too Big. We see people have mastered Chess so deep that they have just memorized first 10 Moves. But the beauty of Chess lies in its complexities. Here is a new GRAND CHESS I propose. http://www.getclub.com/Show/view.php?best=Discussion&itemid=18&lang=en&ref= Here the size of bord ir not 8x8 but 16x16 and this is only for players who have already Mastered the Modern Chess. As those who do not know Chess will find it much difficult to learn. Here your Board is 16x16. With 16 Pawns in 2nd Row. and on first Row the pieces will be as follows. "RRNNBBQQKKBBNNRR" So every thing is twice and there will be 2 kings to Mate. In normal Chess game ends whenever the King is trapped. But in Grand Chess you have to kill 2 kings to end the Game. Rest all other rules are the same as Modern Chess except that there in no Chastling allowed. In GRAN GAME we will have below benefits. 1. WHITE & BLACK pieces will be seperated at a higher distance So a lot of strategy is needed to reach opponent pieces. 2. Since 2 Kings Game will not be just to surround the King. But because opponent can place its king at seperate areas a lot of critical thinking will be needed to finish 2 kings. 3. Normally Chess game ends in 40-60 Moves Grand Chess will end in 200-500 moves and Win by Luck will be minimized. And you can play a game for a week and that will a real hard win. If Chess player like this game I will design GRAND CHESS for players to play on their Computer. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

I had watched one episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force years ago, when my kids were teenagers. Now I've watched two. I doubt there will be a third time. But thanks for the search phrase. Yes, there was a reference to Loverboy, and to the Foreigner songs Cold as Ice, Hot Blooded, Double Vision, Urgent, Head Games, Dirty White Boy, and perhaps a few others. I never much cared for Foreigner; they were one of those groups that somehow did everything a rock-and-roll band was supposed to, but never actually managed to play rock-and-roll. To paraphrase the Incredible String Band, they could play all the notes and they knew all the words, but they never quite learned the song.

If you Google "Revenge of the Mooninites" you can actually find the full episode on Spike TV website. I am not posting the link, because the episode has a bit of raunchy material (reference to porn, etc...). You get to see how Hot-Blooded worked, and yes the power was invoked in the episode. I like how they fooled someone to misuse the belt by quoting lyrics from a Loverboy song :-) (I think). - Rich

As far as I can tell Omega chess is still alive: http://www.omegachess.com/home.html I've only played a few games, but it seemed to have possibilities. There are two sample games here: http://www.omegachess.com/home.html?action=endorsements#undefined including one between Sherzer and Judit Polgar. The replay feature does not work on my machine, but then, many things don't. William Hyde

The pieces are laid out on a 15x8 board and they mirror one another. It plays much like chess, but is much heavier. It doesn't take hundreds of moves either to play. I am curious how you manage to pull off a double checkmate. In Millennium, you end up capturing one king and then checkmate the second. I will say it is a much heavier game than regular chess. - Rich

My own favorite along such lines was a "Red Meat" comic strip some years back. An old geeky guy in a bolo tie stares out from the page. I don't think you should take half measures. Your board should be 160 x 160 and you should have 20 kings per side. This game would be so complex only the GitClub computer would be genious enough to play it. Everyone else would loose.

Actually, Sanny, the name "Grand Chess" is already taken. It refers to a game designed by Christiaan Freeling in 1984. It has a 10x10 board and two extra peices, the shall (R+N powers) and the Cardinal (B+N). The opening array is unusual: PPPPPPPPPP -NBQKMCBN - R - - - - - - - - R where the dashes represent empty squares. There is also a game called Grandchess (aka Ministers), copyrighted in 1986 by Corinthian Games. It has a 9x9 board, with an extra queen; the two queens, called ministers, stand on either side of their king. For your game, I would suggest the name Diplopia Chess. And here is your theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DVtquR007l64

How about this , two chess boards and have 4 players , a team game .. Top and Gata vs Anand and Kraminck ... Each player has his own pieces and once you checkmate one of the Kings , then that player is gone but the other team mate keeps all the pieces that are left over ..
