Delays in Dallas will only be for American Airlines. Seems they look for any excuse to delay or cancel their flights. Worst on-time record of all the airlines by a wide margin. On the other hand, Southwest also flies out of Dallas and has the third best on-time record of all the airlines. I guess that must be due to the 12 miles between the two Dallas airports having a big effect on the weather. You would think the records would be reversed since Southwest must fly out of a very constricted airport with shorter runways and no crosswind alternate runways. The tropical storm was a total NON-EVENT across the state including in the Houston / Galveston area. A bit of rain with winds not much higher than a normal thunderstorm. The only effect thus far on Dallas has been a nice breeze with slightly lower temperatures and higher humidity. Couple of areas have reported light rain but we had more than that a week ago.
