Subject: Chessville "Knights of Neep" Challenge
In case you have not been following the latest political machinations;
The Chessville Knights of Neep have issued invitations to meet on the
squared board of 64 the following governing boards of national chess
federations:

1. The United States Chess Federation.... They have been too cautious
to even acknowledge the challenge.

2. The Engilsh Chess Federation.... They said they will play anyone
anytime and any place! Gotta love the Brits fighting spirit. We are
working out arrangements.

3. The Scottish Chess Federation... Still all quite in the Highlands.
Hopefully they won't allow the English to out do them.

4. The Irish Chess Union.... Same as the Scots. Being of Celtic
heritage I had hoped for a quicker reply. Still waiting a reply from
the Emerald Isles as well.

5. Canadian Chess Federation.... They are bringing the matter before
their executive board. Hal Bond is to get back with us soon.

So, We may soon have a nice shrubbery from those whom we have
challenged. :-)
Let's be prepared. This could lead to something big!
Rob

Randy already plays at the server. We had a match. :-) results shall
remain sealed!

If we Adorjan, will he refuse to play any color other than Black?

If the Scots knew the match was for the "Stone" perhaps they would be
interested?
I maen the PM is a Scot!

I feel sure the Canadians would like to get a piece of the USCF. The
KNights would simply be too great a challenge for them. :-) ( tongue
is firmly in my cheek!)

Nothing big really. Just kids stuff. Remember when times were simpler
and if you wanted to play a game with someone you simply asked? No
pretentions or excuses or qualifiers? Just a good game and some
fun,win or lose.
It's the politics and posturing thats killing the game! SO I say,
let's just play!

very modest. but since he will risk something - and corres chess risks the
fact that you are playing a computer or a book, that is much to his credit
for playing, neh?

You want one or both? lol

They are both 'quite good', one beat Botvinnik, and the other got to the W
Ch qualifiers. [See column this week]

He only scores 50% as white against 2600 opposition, shoot! Who shall we
chose instead?

Yeah - especially if you keep it straight and don't, by your strange charms,
get WIMs Denbo and Kosteniuk on our side. O! One of them is a WGM.

Yeah - no polaroids, or paranoids, no...

Let's see if the Dutch and HK wanna play. Shoot, I even wonder if the
Aussies have any balls, or are all mouth?

Actually, When the others join It will become a single elimination
ladder match. That way we have a true winner! In the mean time, I will
host invitation only tournaments for the individual players to foster
good will and interaction between players.

ROFL -- where is that reprobate Randy Bauer? I know Susan would probably go
for it, and actually, USCF would have a pretty strong team against all
comers, no? Is it 1 GM, 4 masters... ?

Then for us, there's Dan Heisman, who writes a lot at our forum, Albert

Going to have to warm them boyos up! Probably best psychology is to tell

I think they'll join up, especially now the plucky-English have taken the
plunge.

Currently we are playing 4 or 5 teams simultaneously. I lost a game to a
WIM, and the other one is uncertain, though we have opposite bishops, and I
can dream. Am 2 pawns up against a 2800, and a one against a 2400, though am
anxious to give one back! Life is tough on board 3!

This really is good chess organisational stuff - a 5-nation event, it looks
like. Kudos to Rob Mitchell for putting chess management to work and
actually producing chess from it, not lawsuits. Without a big budget, and by
straightforward talk, which is 'free' and also responsible.

Skip Repa is murder on first board; I suggest you
"stack the ladder" and have him play RM, who will
most likely lose anyway. Oh, and don't call him

Before you go around challenging people, you should be trying to learn

now this is interesting, since it is the false sloan writing, who, by other
accusation, is 'in bed', or 'in business' (who brought that up again??)with
rob mitchell who organised these encounters, and who writes about them

big mistake for the false sloan!!

but he knows i have him rattled ;))
