Which is the only opening variation named after a person who (as far
as is known) never played a game of chess.
It is a well-known variant of a very popular opening.

Damn. At the least I expected a Yugo once owned by Vitcor Hugo.

You have won a Trabant. It's parked in a street in Brabant.

All righty! What kind of new car do I win? A Lamborghini would be
nice.

You are correct Sir!
Dracula may be another possibility but I'm not sure he existed.

He definitely existed. Vlad Tepes or Vlad the Impaler. The name
Dracula refers to the dragon on his coat of arms. When on the wrong
side of Dracula, you soon got the point.

Some other possibilities:

Bishop's Opening -- I've never heard that commedian Joey Bishop ever
played chess.
King's Gambit -- ditto for comedian Alan King.
The Chase variation of Alekhine's Defense (1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Nd5 3.d4 d6
4.c4 Nb6 5.f5) -- Salmon P. Chase was far too busy in politics to
bother with chess.
G=F6ring Gambit -- ditto for Hemann G=F6ring.
Hedgehog System -- I don't believe hedgehogs can play at all.
Paris Gambit (1.Nh3) -- Paris Hilton's chess ability is probably
less than a hedgehog's.

My late friend Ron Bishop didn't play Bishop's Opening because he
preferred 1. d4. So I made the joke that Ron ought to play Trompovsky's
1. d4 plus 2. Bg5. Eh, maybe it's still not funny.

Was 1. e4 e6 named for the butler on "Family Affair"?

How about 1. d4 f5 for President Reagan?

I first suggested the Frankenstein-Dracula Variation of the Vienna as
the answer, but maybe Offramp was thinking of Stonewall Jackson.

The Kalashnikov Sicilian? I believe 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4
4.Nxd4 e5 5.Nb5 d6 is named for the guy who invented that type of
machine gun (the AK-47?). Whether he played chess, I don't know.

Frankenstein-Dracula.
