Has the tablebase for R+2N vs. R been done yet? If so, is it usually a win? --- Replace you know what by j to email

How to do it? First unzip them ALL into a folder for example c:\fold\ Then open cmd.exe and write: c:\fold type *.tbs > all.tbs After this a all.tbs file will be generated that will have all the statistics. Then write a simple C or C++ program that would extract the desired contains from the all.tbs.

There is a nice table for pawnless 6-piece endgames on page 103 of Lewis Stiller's Ph.D. thesis available at: http://users.rcn.com/lstiller Stiller made the national news for his pioneering work on those endgames, which included the surprise result that RB vs. NN is a win in the general case.
