Subject: Should Sam Sloan be kicked out of the USCF?
|
He lies everyday. He insults people everyday. He's being a pest everyday. He writes craps on wikipedia. He's a convicted felon. He molested young children. He's an unfit father. He's an unfit husband. He cheated against Bill Brock. He's an embarrassment to the USCF. Should he be kicked out of the USCF? Wolfgang

Subject: Why Nick unable to finish a game?

> It seems to me that Sanny also may believe 'there is > no such thing as bad publicity' about his chess engine. > > --Nick 2 months back Nick played Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html He won the game with Beginner Level. At that time Game was quite new and its moves were not good. Now the Game plays very good moves. So Nick is finding it difficult to digest that the Game has improved. He made fun of me when he beated the game 2 months back. But I think now he is unable to beat it because of the improvements. I asked him show me a recorded game with Normal Level Won by him. Yesterday he played with Beginner level and was unable to complete the game saying under time pressure. Any game with Beginner level can be finished with half an hour as Beginner Level makes moves in 5-10 seconds. While on Nicks Computer it takes 1-2 minute for each move. I feel he is playing the game on a 8086 Processor. Everyone playing my game at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html Were able to Record the game and play quite comforatbly. But Nick always get Problems. Here are the Problems he gets when Playing game at http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html 1. His Computer Hangs? 2. Beginner Level takes 1-2 minute per move? 3. He is unable to Record the Game I feel there is something wrong with Nicks computer as my game has been played on nearly all types of Computers without much problem. Or may be his internet connection is loose. Or he works on 100 things at a time. When you play a game at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html 1. You should refresh your page for each game 2. Do not open too many files while playing the game 3. Try having a fast Internet Connection. And then all your games will be recorded properly. Beginner: 5-10 seconds per move Easy: 30-50 seconds per move Normal: 1-2 min per move Master only for Bob, Taylor Kingston and Bonsai Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

Let's see: Nick tends to present a rather idealized picture of himself there. Here on this group, Nick is generally an object of derision due to his chronic mendacity, absurd pretensions, and many other strange and offensive behaviors. However, his motto seems to be "There is no such thing as bad publicity." Nick wants attention, and whether it comes in the form of praise (which he seldom receives) or ridicule (which he receives often), it's all the same to him. Perfect but not complete: No lie is beneath Nick. Nick the liar. The notion of dignity is completely alien to him. Etc. :-) At least ishi-Sloan and even gmail-sloan and comments-sloan have a contribution to rgc*. ishi-Sloan is good at raising the impportant issues (recently the rating floor or is it floor rating). All Sams are way more intelligent than Nick-Null. The immensly huge difference is that Sams are entertaining, have a sense of humor, while Nick-Null is soooo boring that it is funny :-) =========== Wlod

Given the rubbish that Sanny has been writing to promote his commercial chess engine, why should Sanny object to 'chronic mendacity' or 'absurd pretensions'? > However, his motto seems to be "There is no such thing > as bad publicity." It seems to me that Sanny also may believe 'there is no such thing as bad publicity' about his chess engine. --Nick

They are rather etc. > I visited his website He looks like a good guy. Which one? Most likely you mean the ishi-Sloan. > He has shown ranking of top 100 Players. Don't confuse Sam Sloan with USCF and FIDE. Sam Sloan is a cluster while FIDE and USCF are single entities called organizations (a poorly organized organization is still an organization, don't ask me why). > What is the Ranking of Sam Sloan? The ishi-Sloan would like to force himself into the wikipedia rank, while he ranks for dirty magazines. That's why he confuses notoriety (he calls it "being notable") with achievements and merit. It's like you are confusing seconds and hours, which to you is the same. As I've written elsewhere, there is the ishi-Sloan, gmail-Sloan, usa-Sloan, comments-Sloan... Possibly I have missed a couple of them. Have sam-fun or a lot, Wlod
