That called �castling�, with no h. The word comes from �castle�, another
word for the �rook�. Interestingly, the European names for this move

Yes queen D-8 x D-5 knight ...

GC castles ...

Ivans move is C-5 to C-4 pawn move..

That took about one min ..It was thinking of moving the bishop to G-4
It took about ten seconds for the Queen move but i could tell that is
what he was trying to do .Get the Queen out to center..

Ivan has one hundred forty five minutes to make 45 moves ....So some are
longer than others ..When GC makes a move it is anticipating like the
knight takes knight move then ivan moves fast but when GC does a move
ivan mite not think about then he takes longer to move ..

ivans move again was C-5 to C-4 pawn..

Ivan has this position dead even 0.0 ..

Why does GC think it is winning by so much ?

If Getclub plays c4 after you Ka8 it's +4.27. That's giving up a lot
more than just a pawn. Ivan gave that pawn away with its silly castling.

I'd blame Getclub poor tactics for that. Getclub does suboptimal moves

Not much Ivan can do now. That game is so lost.

I was going to mention that Toga II wants to move that bishop, too, but
to g4 instead of f5. That happened before, always with that bishop.

But now Bf5 has a score of 8.89, just like Bg4.

Toga 3 i think that is the new verson that has not come out yet ? I
belive it is the programers themselfs of Toga that played it vs Rybka ,
If you go to Rybka community you will see the main page then you have
numbers of other little older pages and i think i went back 2 or 3 pages
because i was looking for interesting stuff to read and that came up
Toga 3 i think it was called Mara vs Rybka .. I would have to go back
and re-look at it and get more details...

When Getclub plays Bc5 Ivan has a chance to be mated.

If you want to get a better player you should be playing your Ivan
instead of letting it play against Getclub.

I was thinking in the next game i will try and put each individual piece
( white ) on the first and second row and i will see if Ivan will be
white from that row and if that works let Ivan be white in the next
game..
I have never tried it that way because i am lazy but i will try

I was over at the Rybka board and saw a guy who posted Rybka 3 vs Toga 3
and he played them a few games and Toga 3 got a win and so did Rybeka

GC has missed a few good moves that mite have won this game a few moves
ago..

It was thinking King to B-7 then changed to the move it made , i am not
sure why..The King moves seems better to me but i will have to study the

Toga II though Qb8 was the best move, but I don't like that move, too.

But it seems, this is because black is out of options. Now Rad1 will
continue to chase the queen around. This also brings the white rook into
the play, whereas black keeps moving its queen. Not to mention the
undeveloped and totally passive bishop on f8.

Toga II only likes e5 and Be4 better than Kb7.

Doing Rd7 gives Getclub +2.74 compared to +1.94 now.

Still quite optimistic from Ivan.

There were two errors heres: First an Arena bug where the a-pawn was on
a3 for Arena but not for the engine. Arena wouldn't show the best line
Qa3 because it though it was illegal. Going back the whole game, the
pawn seemed to be there from the start. Starting over i left out �8.
Bxc6+ bxc6�, yielding strange results concerning a bishop not captured by
black and a queen not captured by white.

Now everything seems to be correct. Don't hire me as an operator for
your engine's next tournament.

It thinks that it was a bad move. The top threeh moves ocnsidred were
f6, Be4 and Rd8 for scores between -0.65 and -0.82. Now Getclub is at
+1.60 for the top move.

The first chess computer i had like bishops over knights too ..It would
send a knight on a suicide mission sometimes to sacrifice itself for the
bishop.

You should make GC think bishops are better than knights..I will make
