Hello Chesslovers, As you all know by now Chessbase will release version 10 of their program on July the 21st.. As our sources say the program is able to play Rachmaninov music in the background now. It still doesn't understand the rules of chess, according to our informant. By the way we didn't get any reviewer's copy. It seems they don't like independent reviews. Only magazines depending on ChessBase advertising will get such a copy so they can umm , you know what I mean... Also their corrupt sysops who kick innocent users from the servers will get such a copy... Best, Michael Mind the Base ... join the Arena http://www.playwitharena.com

I wouldn't trust you to write an unbiased review any more than I'd trust a ChessBase fanboy. Hello I was awaiting such a silly comment. I am independent because I don't sell anything. I do not depend on any Chessbase adverts or sponsoring. Also I don't sell any of ChessBase competitors software.I don't get payed by anyone to write the review. This is what is called independent.Arena is also FREE ! So ChessBase is not a competitor at all. Go on and trust all the ChessBase reports which don't tell you anything about the bugs. It is your money afterall so you may spend it for any crap ChessBase software you want. I bet you weren't aware of any pf the ChessBase bugs before I posted them ! I will continue posting each and every bug so people know before they buy crap ChessBase software and they get informed about bugs, ChessBase sysops behaviour on the server, ChessBase telephon support and so on. Those things you usually don't read about in "serious" pages and magazines because they either sell this crap ChessBase software and would make any positive review they could or they depend on ChessBase advertising. Whether you sell things is irrelevant. You are not independent because you produce (and give away) a product that competes with those that ChessBase sells. It is, therefore, in your best interests to encourage people to use your product rather than ChessBase's. > I bet you weren't aware of any pf the ChessBase bugs before I posted > them ! I wasn't aware of the specific bugs you pointed out, no. However, my copy of Fritz 8 is full of irritating little bugs so I'm not at all surprised to learn of similar bugs in ChessBase. Thank you for bringing them to our attention. But I still don't expect you to write an unbiased review of ChessBase. I expect you would write a truthful review of the software but that is not the same thing. I do not DEPEND on ChessBase NOR on any of their concurents NOR do I do a living out of Arena. I don't give anything away, people download the software from our page. This is like saying appletrees are giving apples away. >> I bet you weren't aware of any pf the ChessBase bugs before I posted >> them ! > > I wasn't aware of the specific bugs you pointed out, no. I will continue doing this here and on the Arena and Exactachess page. > But I still don't expect you to write an unbiased review of ChessBase. > I expect you would write a truthful review of the software but that is > not the same thing. It in an independent report presenting you the true value of the product. Only the truth, no inventions and magic advertising tricks like all other reports you will be able to read or are already reading everywhere. Unlike Arena where bugs were described in a forum and we also had a page describing all bugs http://playwitharena.com/upd/upd-3.htm Chessbase doesn't have this. You get banned on the server for mentioning such bugs. As you see this is independent, mentioning also the bugs and not only the positive aspects of our own software. This is true journalism and refutes your thesis about us beeing biased. We do post own bugs, ChessBase doesn't, they are biased, not us. We are their main concurent as Arena is free. They are not our concurent. All proofs are out there.
