Could someone feed this game into one of those computer programs that automatically annotates and give me the results? I'm particularly interested in black's 8th move, and what line does the computer give for black's 42nd move? I know that every time I've beaten a strong computer, it's been with a passed pawn that the computer underestimated. Thanks for the notes, anyway.

"Richard Cavell" <[email protected] > schreef in bericht news:[email protected]... > Ruud wrote: >> > 49.Ke2 Kc4 > > I give > > 50. Kd2 c5 Of course , this wins as well. The power of the a and b-pawns is worth the white rook. But junior calculates, and I agree , that after Kc4, the white rook is stuck anyway, and black is able to win either the h-pawn, with no compensation for white, or the c-pawn, making promotion of a pawn even more simple. Black won't have to sacrifice a rook-for a promotion (to get a Q vs. R ending), or more than 1 pawn, to promote.

Five seconds per move, plus a blunder-check to give the evaluation of every position (+ or - values). Move 8 in fact seems the only real good move, to give black still a good game. 8....Nbd7, or 8. .. h7-h6 give evals of +0,7 for white. Rekable game from you, considering the difference in rating, allthough white made some poor moves, you played very accurately (allmost like an engine.;-)). Greetings from Ruud. Fritz 10 is about to be released, so Fritz 9 can be found for a bargain and is plenty good at doing just what you are asking. Also, I recommend you ask this question in rec.games.chess.analysis for future reference. > [Event "Match"] > [Site "www.echecsemail.com"] > [Date "2006.11.03"] > [Round "1"] > [White "Jneumann"] > [Black "Richardcavel"] > [WhiteElo "1850"] > [BlackElo "1199"] > [Result "0-1"] > [ECO ""] > [Round "1"] > 1.d4 d5 > 2.c4 e6 > 3.Nb1c3 Bf8b4 > 4.Bc1f4 Ng8f6 > 5.e3 c6 > 6.Ng1f3 Nf6e4 > 7.Qd1c2 Qd8a5 > 8.Ra1c1 Qa5xa2 > 9.Bf1d3 Bb4xc3 > 10.bxc3 Qa2xc2 > 11.Rc1xc2 Ne4f6 > 12.O-O dxc4 > 13.Bd3xc4 O-O > 14.Rf1a1 Nb8d7 > 15.Bc4d3 b6 > 16.Rc2a2 a5 > 17.Nf3e5 Nd7xe5 > 18.Bf4xe5 Nf6d5 > 19.Ra2a3 Bc8a6 > 20.Bd3xa6 Ra8xa6 > 21.e4 Nd5f6 > 22.f3 Rf8a8 > 23.Be5xf6 gxf6 > 24.Kf2 a4 > 25.Ke3 b5 > 26.Kd3 Kf8 > 27.f4 Ke7 > 28.g3 h5 > 29.Ra1a2 Kd6 > 30.e5 fxe5 > 31.fxe5 Ke7 > 32.Ra2f2 Ra8g8 > 33.Rf2f4 Ra6a8 > 34.Ra3a2 Rg8g4 > 35.Rf4xg4 hxg4 > 36.Ke4 f5 > 37.exf6 Kxf6 > 38.Kf4 Ra8g8 > 39.Ke4 Ke7 > 40.Kd3 Kd6 > 41.Ke4 Rg8f8 > 42.Ra2a3 Rf8f2 > 43.Ke3 Rf2f1 > 44.Ke4 Rf1b1 > 45.Kd3 Kd5 > 46.Kc2 Rb1h1 > 47.Kd3 Rh1f1 > 48.Ke3 Rf1f3 > 49.Ke2 Kc4 > { resign } > 0-1 > -- Thomas T.
