Hello All, I played this game previous night with one of my friend over net. I won the game at the end but I think it could have been better than this. Any help is greatly appreciated!! It would be nice if you can help me give better insight into game. Hi Claus-Juergen, Very Nice Thoughts !!! Thanks for pointing out problem Areas !!! You have given problems to master from within the game that is great !!! Maybe I am lacking concetration as the game was a blitz 3 Min 3 Sec increment and correctly said tactics !!! I noramally play three to four games in a day after work .Can I post them here for Analysis purpose ? With Warm regards Jatinder Singh

In blitz games there is not much time to think, so there are not many starting points as to how to improve your thought process. Perhaps you could play at longer time controls and describe what you thoughts were? Claus-Juergen

There were some opportunities both of you missed. There were two situations that are suitable for tactics training. Try to work them out for yourself. 9. b4? Nd5 wins a piece. 16. Nd5 just gives away a piece, 16. Ne4 is much better. There is not only a threat to your queen, but also 17. Nxc5/18. Rxb4. If 16...Bxe4 17. dxe4 the Nb4 is trapped and will be captured by c3. 27. b6? see training position 1. 29...c4? (Qa2) 30. b7 Rab8 (30...Qa6 31. Qd5+ Kh7 32. bxa8Q) 31. Re3 Qf7 32. Rxe8+ Qxe8 33. Qxe8+ Rxe8 34. a6 and the pawns can't be stopped. 31. Rb1 keeps the pawns. 31...Qxb6? see training position 2. 31...Rxb6 was the correct move. 33...Rxa6? gives away a rook. The white pawn wasn't going anywhere. 41. f3?? loses a rook. After 43...Rh8 White will be mated soon. 49. Kg4 and the king escapes for now. Tactics training, solution below: Position 1: 3rr1k1/Q5b1/1P3ppp/P1p5/2q5/5R2/5PPP/5RK1 b - - Black to move wins Hint (rot13): gur onpx enax vf jrnx. Position 2: rr4k1/6b1/Pq3ppp/1Q6/2p5/4R3/5PPP/5RK1 w - - White to move Hint: n oynpx ebbx vf birejbexrq. Tactics training solutions: Position 1: The defender is removed. 1...Qxf1+ 2. Kxf1 Rd1 mate. Position 2: The Rb8 can't protect both queen and back rank. 1. Re8+ Rxe8 (1...Kh7 2. Qxb6 Rxb6 3. Rxa8) 2. Qxb6 wins the queen (though perhaps not the game). Claus-Juergen
