Subject: What happened to the Catalan Tournament ?
|
Greetings. What happened at (or to) the "75th Anniversary of the Catalan Opening" tournament http://www.fcde.org/circulars04/circula_40.htm which was supposed to take place 29nov-3dec with all games beginning 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.g3 Nf6 and featuring Korchnoi, Felgaer, in, Comas, and Moskalenko among others ? The web page hasn't been updated since before the tournament began, and mention of it has been dropped from www.chesscenter.com/twic/twic.html Did it take place ? Are there any PGN files ? -- Regards, Peter Peter Billam, DPIWE/ILS/CIT/Servers, hbt/lnd/l8, 6233 3061

Yes it did take place, but the only place I know the games are available is at: http://www.chess21.com/play/a21.asp?g=1 Select the "Live!"-button and scroll down the list. It should have all five rounds of games. I suppose someone has made the PGN available, but I sure can't find it. -- King's Gambit - http://kingsgambit.blogspot.com Chess problems, tactics, analysis and more.
