Shortest proof game for ...
1) White gives checkmate, with assistance from Black, but without moving
any of his own pieces beyond the 4th rank. Example in 31 ply: 1 e4 e5 2

(This -can- be done more quickly, though, can't it?)
2) Produce the following position:
k7/P7/P7/P7/P7/P7/P7/K7 (it does not matter which player is to move,
though it may be possible to get fewer ply with one or the other).
(I cannot even figure out a game for this right now ...)
3a) Shortest game possible in which a player has nine queens?
This is harder than it seems, chiefly due to the increasing difficulty
of keeping so many queens on the board without giving mate (or
stalemating someone or forcing them to take a needed Queen) before all
promotions are complete. My attempt here is what is probably a horribly
bad 102 ply: 1 d4 d5 2 e4 e5 3 Bc4 dxc4 4 Bf4 exf4 5 d5 f3 6 g4 c5 7 Qe2

possible game to get them?
