Starting at move 51 they are in a pretty drawish end game, but Morozevich is in serious time trouble. This game is actually pretty interesting from that vantage. Topalov continously plays not-best moves. Not really losing moves, but moves that are difficult to deal with if you are under time pressure. Morozevich holds on really well, and Topalov's gamble fails. And unlike most games on this level it was played all the way to 6QK/8/8/8/4q3/8/7Q/k7 b - - 0 29 I don't think you are going to see many end games like this at this level. Entertaining, in a car wreck sort of way.

At move 51 Morozevich had already completely outplayed Topalov in an endgame which started as being somewhat better for black. The position is better for white and probably even winning if Moro had played 53.g4. Moro's slight time trouble (about 5minutes for 5 moves?) has nothing to do with it "Johnny T" <[email protected] > schreef in bericht news:[email protected]... > Starting at move 51 they are in a pretty drawish end game, but Morozevich > is in serious time trouble. > > This game is actually pretty interesting from that vantage.
