GetClub Chess is being praised by everyone. Now even those who use to say it is weak are praising it after playing it. Have a look: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html I am happy that my programmers have removed all obstacles in the game. Now it plays too fast as well as make best moves. Those players who think they are still stronger than GetClub Chess, show me the recorded games So that I can see how they loose to my Program. Still I feel there are 5 players who can still beat GetClub Chess and they are 1. Nomorechess 2. Chrisf 3. Bob 4. Taylor Kingston 5. Zebediah For other players they have to loose even with beginner Level, Ha Ha Ha I am so happy with my program that I can't say. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

The idea is to fork or trap one of the *many* White pieces, should he become careless. > ..... > ..... > Recorded Game:http://www.getclub.com/playgame.php?id=DM6682&game=Chess > > And Chrisf was a Knight up for two pawns. Use the standard "check and capture" extensions, whereby the program looks a bit deeper until it finally comes to a quiet position. If your team can implement this standard technique correctly, the program will almost never hang a piece like it did here. Only when it has mastered the obvious, so to speak, do you need to worry about positional play. > For that how deep the Master Level should see? Just kidding. Funny thing is, a day or two ago I had a choice between winning a piece for a pawn and leaving everything on, or trading down to a won ending. I chose the ending, and immediately overlooked losing the exchange. Oops! So now I am at around move forty-something, with a long row to hoe before I can hope to convert. That is at RedHotPawn, not GetClub, but the point is not simply how quickly you win, but cutting risk by simplifying to where the win is more certain is an effective weapon of the strong player. How would I know this, you ask? Well... somebody good must have told me! -- help bot

This falls under the category of "if something's attacked, defend it." If your computer can't see that moves like ...a6 lose, then there's really no hope for it. Crafty, for example, realizes it has to defend the knight so quickly that I can't even tell you how long it takes. half a second? a third of a second? There is something seriously, seriously wrong with your program if it can't calculate simple tactics in a few seconds.
