This is hardly a game worth analysing, but does have a nice forced mate in 5 finish, after black's 28 ... Bxe3 hoping for 29 fxe3 Qxf1# black instead finds himself on the end of a forced mate finishing in a nice smothered mate - featuring the always nice queen sacrifice. Hello Barry, I think here we have a very interesting game to analize. The final combination is widely known but there are many interesting tactical and strategical motivs in some moments. I will post some hints but after an spoiler (maybe anyone prefer to dicover for himself) I'm sure that you will enjoy studying this game and I hope you will post your comemnts here to have genuine RGCA material. AT .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Some hints: - There are something to say about a bishop with no good prospects. - White queen was in danger and there are some moments he had no good defence. - Black obtained a won position, ... but He mistakenly put his own bishop in great danger losing the advantage. (but white did not refute it) - 24...Qg6 was a mistake but here we have a three question 1) how (and where) can white obtain a clear win in game continuation? (or the similar question 1b) what was white mistake in game continuation?) 2) How could black obtain a level game after white mistake? and 3) what was best 24.th black move? You can see: something to say about bad pieces, some tactics enclosing a queen and a bishop, some tactics finding correct combinations and correct defences in some moments. I hope you will try to have a look at it! AT

Hello Barry, A very interesting game to analize!! There are some interesting moments about: - How to place a bishop in a good place (strategy) - How to lock a queen (tactics) - How to lock a bishop (tactics) - Black obtained a won position but He made a mistake in 24th move. - Later white did not take advatage and make a mistake changing a won position into a level position. - Finally black did not defended well and lose. I hope you will find interesting that game after analysing it, I'm sure you will enjoy that and if you post here your comments we will have good genuine material here in RGCA. AT
