The Chess game is playing very good. It has beated every player atleast once except Taylor Kingston & Perrypawnpusher The game is playing quite fast that it allows upto master level to be played. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html Now, no one criticizes that it is playing weak moves. So now I cant improve the game further. But I see good players beating the Normal & Master Level also. While I find it hard to win even the Easy level. A few of My friends get beated by Beginner level also. Start a game at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html Anyone can win this months $5.00 prize. You just have to score 10 points & win atleast 2 games with Human Opponents. And in comming months the Prize money may get increased. Now with the game Recorded no one can tell lies as everything from your Move and Time you took for that move is recorded. Here is a game I win with Easy Level after lot of struggle. http://www.getclub.com/playgame.php?id=DM697&game=Chess I would admire if some one could do analysis of Games played by higher level and let me know of any mistake moves played by computer. You can post comments to all recorded Chess games for further analysis. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html

It would be very difficult to trap the computer in first 20 moves from now as the Middle Game have been improved a lot thanks to your guidance. Now it first advances its pieces before bringing its queen into the center. Today the Programmers rectified the pawn advancement problem, because of which pawn gets Trapped easily. Now the computer will not advance pawns but only when it sees clear position. I believe it will make the game a bit more difficult as the computer will be thinking of Game instead of Pawn - Promotions. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html Let me know if you can win easily now. Now the Easy level will play quite well, So no need to play with higher levels. And if you win tell me the wrong move and also what should have been made inplace of it. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html

So what are you complaining about? I don't think I even made any real mistakes and I'd have won that position against most human players after 8...0-0 in a similar fashion (although they may at least have tried to get some counter play).

The Problem has been rectified now you will not be able to trap easily. However in Chess there are Infinite positions It may overlook a few traps. Play again and let me know you could trap it. Thanks for your Analysis Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html

Programming it to avoid traps one at a time is doomed to failure. Traps should be avoided by accurate search. Actually it seems nobody has tested the program recently, once again it is indulging in illegal moves (and as always a bit of strategic nonesense). I just played it (as white) and the result was this: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 4.cxd5 Nxd5 5.e4 Nxc3 6.bxc3 Bg7 7.Nf3 0-0 8.Be2 h5 9.0-0 Bh8 10.Bg5 c6 11.Rb1 Bf6 12.Kh1 Bxg5 13.Nxg5 Qa5 14.h4 Qxc3 15.Bxh5 gxh5 16.Qxh5 Bf5 17.exf5 Qh3+ 18.gxh3 Rc8 19.Qh7+ Kxh7 Okay, it seemed to play the first 3 or 4 moves from an opening book, then made the most obvious moves for the next 3 moves, but 8...h5, 9...Bh8, 10...c6 and 11...Bf6 are just ridiculous moves. Then the program fell for the silly little trap (okay, my 15.Bxh5 is not even particularly good, but at that moment the program just didn't seem to have any clue that it could get mated). But the absolute highlight is the finish: 19...Kxh7 ???? That's just an illegal move. You really need to make sure it actually knows the rules of chess. --Bjrn
