While his speech was noticeably accented, I found it perfectly comprehensible, almost impeccable, or at least far better than most Americans'. Uganda was a British colony for about 70 years, and English once was and still may be its official language, so it's not surprising that an educated man from there would speak English well. None of this, of course, has any bearing on his legal guilt or innocence. If he has done what he is charged with, it is a heinous offense.
