I find it extremely hard to believe that Jason Repa would sell a brand-new,
non-pirated, WORKING copy of Chessbase 9 for $20 when it retails for over
$150. Repa's reputation and lack of integrity are well established on these
and other forums, so I highly recommend anybody considering this purchase on
EBay reconsider. Just do a Google Groups search for "Jason Repa" and you'll
see why nobody who knows him would give him a dime for anything he's
selling.

Regards,

Matt

For starters, My name is Richard, and I have 100% positive feedback on eBay.
Secondly, the item I am selling is not being sold for $20. The starting bid
was set at $9.99, just as many auctions for large ticket items start at low
amounts, such as $.01. It will probably sell for around $140 or so as the
buyer won't have to pay taxes or duty. The picture seen in the ad was taken
with my digital camera and it is pretty clear that this is the original
item. I would have no problem providing the buyer with a copy of my reciept
from Chessbase, if necessary.

LOL!

This "Doubled Pawns" character claims to be somebody named Richard, yet his
ISP is shaw.ca (the same ISP Repa uses), he's shipping from Manitoba (where
Repa lives), and his EBay username is "zugzwanged" (a handle Repa is known
to have used on these forums). Coincidence? Doubtful.

Bottom line: Repa *HAS* to change his name to make a sale because he's
burned every bridge in the (online) chess community. He's a liar without a
shred of credibility or integrity, and that's been proven over and over on
Usenet. Anyone who has doubts can simply do a Google search and see for
themselves.

The funny thing is that Repa actually thinks there's an outside chance he
might fool somebody. The scary thing is, he might.

Caveat emptor, my friends!

Regards,

Matt

By the way.....the "100% positive feedback" Repa speaks of having on EBay
comes from two -- TWO! -- comments made over the last year.

Impressive.......
